New fall 2010 group exercise programs



The Recreation and Athletic Center (TRAC) at UIS will offer two new classes as the fall 2010 semester begins. Yogalates and Step N Sculpt will be available to TRAC members.

Yogalates is a blend of yoga and pilates with a deep stretching combination. Participants should come prepared for a great workout to strengthen, stretch and calm.

Step N Sculpt is an energizing class that includes step combos, high intensity intervals and strength training. It’s a great all around workout in just 1 hour!

“Whether you are new to college or an experienced super senior it’s really important to be involved for your health and well being and its important to start that exercise routine,” said Amanda Jillson, assistant director of recreational sports.

TRAC also offers a 6 pack attack class, which is designed to tone your mid section; Bootcamp, which mixes cardio and strength training; GTX that offers an 8 week intense workout using a variety of methods; Kickboxing, a high intensity, empowering fitness class; Pilates, designed to transform your body; and Zumba, a fitness class that lets you dance your way fit.
